Preparedness

Emergencies Happen. Be Prepared.

Pack an emergency kit for yourself. Make sure you include the following items:

  • clothing
  • medications
  • medical equipment
  • water
  • snacks
  • important documents

Pack an emergency kit for companion animals (pets).

Regularly review the process for being contacted during an evacuation.

Ensure the VPR program has up to date contact information for you.

Ensure you notify your energy provider that you are a vulnerable customer.

Be Prepared For Anything

When you register for the Vulnerable Persons Registry, the VPR Team will review your level of preparedness with you and help determine what you may need to do to enhance personal preparedness.

While the VPR does not replace 9-1-1 for emergency calls, it is an additional support available during evacuations and helps emergency responders locate you quickly in an emergency.
